The Spirit of God

Human beings have THE Spirit of God inside.

When we accept Jesus and ask him to take control of our lives – for want of a better definition – the Holy Spirit that was moving sluggishly within us, now is warmed up and can move freely within us. Like oil that is frozen and becomes thawed. So now, this oil within us, can guide, teach, etc.

When we are baptized with fire, like lighting an oil lamp, the Holy Spirit burns brightly.

The gifting God gives each person, is what we receive revelation in. A pastor has more understanding of the Bible and how things are done than the average person.

An herbalist has more understanding in how herbs work, a flower essence practitioner has more understanding of how they work to heal the emotions.

A dream interpreter has training with their understanding on how to nterpret.

It’s not ‘jack of all trades master of none’! EVERY single negative saying can be traced to Satan twisting a truth of God. It’s being skilled in many gifts, so we can help each other. It’s not to ‘Lord’ it over each other, it’s to help each other.

But we all have to make a living at what we do. The Lord blesses the works of our hands. So we study to be approved of God, we offer to the public, he blesses the work of our hands that we have studied for through the work of our minds.

When we are baptized with fire – with evidence of speaking in other tongues, which Paul the apostle did more than anyone – this fire within is what keeps us trying to be more like Jesus. It’s what propels us to go forward, giving forgiveness, asking forgiveness. It’s what gives us boldness to come before the throne of God, knowing we are heard, it’s what gives us courage to speak to someone about Jesus, to help others.

God can put the Holy Spirit in us whenever he wishes.

We are the containment of the fire. Picture a lamp filled with oil, when the wick is lit, the fire burns. It’s pretty tough to blow out. The oil in the lamp never goes out as long as we read our Bibles, worship the Lord and stay close to him in prayer.

Having that fire always burning, is what gives us hope for the future. Without it, we would be like the world is today, fearful and searching for peace in other things, never finding him there.
